Kenji, Remove the user informix and the group informix, and as Administrator, re-install the informix product, you do not have to change permissions or privileges to the user. The install program will create the informix user and group. I installed it having only one problem while installing saying "can't change to winnt/system32 dir" I ignored that. I can't get it the server to start giving it the password I specified during the installation. I havn't yet got the server online once. Please give me advice for this supposed simple configuration problem. Do I need to adjust the permissions for the informix user? thanks, Kenji.
