Set PDQ to 0. What do you see or mean by locking? Do you see locks on the server or does the client simply not respond? Do you see a connection to the server? Sorry, I quess I should be a little more specific. What happens is
that when I try to connect to the server and pull up web pages stored
by Data Director for Web, the server stops responding. I then have to
take Informix down and then back up to clear it up. If I just try
dbaccess to pull up something from the database, it works. I can even
run 3 or more sessions of dbaccess but when I try to connect with DDW,
it will stop responding. I look at the server and the majority of the
time onstat - will indicate that a "Checkpoint is Required". This is
strange because there is practically no activity and I have plenty of
logs and the checkpoint interval is 5 minutes. I have also received
messages occasionally that there are "too many files open". This is
also strange because our limit on open files are 100 times the amount
that are really open.
DDW works just fine on Informix 9.3. It was only when I upgraded to
9.4 did I start getting this problem. I even installed the lastest
9.4.UC3 and I still get the error.
Thanks for your help.
