RE: Ontape archiving to disk

in-pipe compress using gzip:
mkfifo my-pipe
configure TAPEDEV=my-pipe
gzip --to-stdout --verbose <my-pipe | dd of=some-tape bs=32k &
ontape -s -L 0multiple files:
touch bkp-file-1 bkp-file-2 bkp-file-3 ...
ln -s bkp-file-1 bkp-dev-link
configure TAPEDEV=bkp-dev-link
configure TAPESIZE=size-as-you-need
ontape -s -L 0
... and redirect bkp-dev-link when requested to change the tape
Can you tell me the limitation bug number?
