Re: HELP: typedef link list node in ESQL/C

Hi Dennis, When did you start working for Motorola? Actually I don't know why you want to make the tree structure an informix variable. If you are attempting to create a linked list of informix query results, do the following: Use your tree structure, but create a pointer as the Informix variable. Set the pointer to the variable in the linked list and voila Informix sees it as its own. HTHs -Mike Segel. BTW, haven't seen you at the local Informix User Group meetings. Maybe you should have a group of Motorola types show up! :-) Dennis Bowen wrote: > > I want to make the following typedef available as a host variable: > > typedef struct NODE *pNODE; > typedef struct { > int var1; > pNode prev; > pNode next; > } NODE; > > I tried to define it like this: > > typedef struct NODE *pNODE; > $typedef struct { > int var1; > pNode prev; > pNode next; > } NODE; > > When I do this I get this error message: > > esqlc: "dcb.ec", line 4: Error -33200: Invalid statement on symbol > 'pNODE'. > esqlc: "dcb.ec", line 5: Error -33200: Invalid statement on symbol > 'pNODE'. > > I tried all sort of other combinations which did not improve matters > any. How do I define this? I am using ESQL/C 5.04. > > thanks, > > db > > -- > Dennis Bowen | MailTo:dbowen@pamd.cig.mot.com > MOTOROLA - CIG - NDS | > One Continental Towers (IL-35) | Phone: (847) 435-7191 > 1701 Golf Road, 8th Floor | > Rolling Meadows, IL, USA 60008 | FAX: (847) 435-7367
