Visual C++ problems w/HP Vectra

Hi. We're experiencing serious difficulties when trying to compile using Microsoft Visual C++ 1.50 in our new HP Vectras Series 3, model 5/90 (16 MB RAM). After selecting (Build) the machine hangs completely... (I'm suspecting WinTee incompatibilities with hardware). Has anyone heard about any MVC patches for these computers or Pentium processors specifically. Any other (hopefully good) idea on getting this problem solved would be greatly appreciated. :-) Greets, -AR
