state of IDS in sysmaster tables

Hi folks, I just went thru sysmaster:sys* tables and I've tried to find it on CDI and here - no luck. Is there a way of checking current state (Single-user, On-Line, Quiescent) of IDS (I saw sysonlinelog table which would be harsh to parse :/). cheers
... is there a way of checking it in sysmaster tables or others (so somehow using SQL).
Waldemar:
While yes the state of the server is stored in sysmaster. It is sometimes
hard to get at because the server is not operational, such as, when the
Informix server is in Quiescent mode. To find the mode
select sh_mode from sysshmvals;
-1 Offline (-1 = 255)
0 Initialisation
1 Quiescent
2 Recovery
3 Backup
4 Shutdown
5 Online
6 Abort.
You can think of single user as an atrribute of being online and
not a mode.
These modes match up to the return codes of onstat

SELECT sh_mode
FROM sysshmvals;
mode = 5 is online
mode = 2 is recovery - including HDR, RSS, and SDS secondaries which are
always in perpetual recovery.
