big bug in esql 9.16.UC2
Posted in 1999
A week ago I have purchased DS for LINUX to migrate my existing SE-Programs and Databases to DS. My Programs do compile and work well unter Solaris with DS, but the LINUX-Version seems to be not a final release. The following small esql-program crashes esql: ---------------- cut here ------------------ test.ec: /* beginning of program */ EXEC SQL begin declare section; #include "test.h" EXEC SQL end declare section; /* end of program */ test.h: /* only one comment without any definitions */ ----------------- cut here ----------------- esql crashes if the program includes a file using local or absolute pathnames --> " to fix the problem, the -I command-line option must be used with the parameter of the project home, so the include may be written <test.h> instead of "test.h". Isolating the problem and finding a way to solve it (with the help of the INFORMIX-support) has needed two days :-(. But now an additional problem has occured: If I try to link the whole project, the linker is unable to resolve dlopen, dlclose, dlsym and dladdr To solve the problem I have included the switch -ldl to include the dynamic-linking-library. Now the linker was able to produce an executable file. But if I start the program I got the following error: :undefined symbol: sqli_connect_open Now I have no additional idea. Any help about a way how to inform the program (or system) where to find the dynamic libs would be highly welcome.
