Do "SELECT * FROM 'informix'.sysusers".
The entry or entries with D in the privilege column are the DBA logins.
Recreate one of those logins; using the recreated login, assign DBA
privileges as required; and then as the current DBA, remove the old DBA
privileges; and finally remove the recreated login.
I usually create a user account specifically as the DBA for a major system.
It's a bit like having an extra root account, but it is a well known name
which prevents that problem from recurring.
