ODBC/Trumpet/I-net problems

I am trying to get an ODBC client up and running for the first time and am running into brick walls. I've read all the past messages that I could find in this newsgroup to see if they answered my questions, but none have helped yet. I am trying to access an Online 5.03 engine on an SCO-Unix box. I can access the engine from another Unix box so I know that I have the server part configured properly. I am using Trumpet winsock version 2.0 rev B and I am able to connect to the Unix machine using a telnet program and the trumpet winsock. The problem is that when I access the ODBC driver from MS-Access it gets to the point where I give it my password and then it hangs Access. The TCP error log shows: "CRITICAL ERROR: TCP poll reentrancy detected" Under version 1.0 of trumpet, it just kept scrolling the errors over and over until it was terminated. I have checked everything I can think of and don't know where to look next. Perhaps if someone else has a similiar setup we can compare notes and save me additional hair-loss. :-) My configuration is as follows: Trumpet winsock 2.0 rev B Q&E ODBC v. 2.0 Informix I-Net 5.01 Windows 3.1 DOS 6.22 lsl 2.05 3c5x9 1.31 ipxodi 2.12 odipkt2 1.1 netx 3.32 I have trumpet installed in C:\\trumpet. My path goes through there and through c:\\informix\\bin. My INFORMIXDIR variable is set. My services file has an entry for "sqlexec 1525/tcp" which matches the entry on the Unix box. My hosts file has my Unix host listed in it. I am willing to try any combination of versions that anyone knows works! Any help or comments would be appreciated. -- Dale Van Voorst voorst@dordt.edu Computer Services postmaster@dordt.edu Dordt College Sioux Center, IA 51250 (712) 722-6299
