Ok, here is a tough one.

We are trying to convert an Oracle 8 dbase to Informix 9.1.4 and we are having some problems with triggers. Oracle has an option in their trigger declaration called "INSTEAD OF". This option enables the trigger to do something else INSTEAD OF whatever the triggering SQL was. For example: A user tries to do an insert on a view, the INSTEAD OF trigger fires and instead of inserting on the users view it inserts on another table.
