Backup - restore different page sizes

Regards everyone!
I´m needing to change my databases from 2k page sizes (unix default) to 16k,
in order to avoid my table limits.
My doubt is about if I can make an onbar (or even ontape) backup on 2k,
and after restore it on a new dbspace configured to 16k, does it works?
Thanks a lot for your help.

No. Ontape and OnBar archive by taking page images so you cannot
restore the 2k images into 16k pages!
You will need to unload/reload/drop/rename or something similar to
reorganise into the new sized pages.
Probably means you need enough space to hold two copies of the table
in the database plus sufficent down-
time to do the reorg.

No it will not work as an onbar or ontape archive is composed of page
images.
The easiest way is to create one or more new dbspaces and use ALTER FRAGMENT
... INIT IN... to move your tables and indexes to the new dbspaces. Once
everything is moved you should be able to drop all of the dbspaces except
the one holding the database catalog. If you need to free that space as
well then the only option is a dbexport, drop, recreate, and dbimport (or
the equivalent).
