How to move to a certain row of a scrolled array...

How can you move to a different row of a scrolled array while in an INPUT statement? (Running Informix 4.1). Is this possible? I seem to remember reading something somewhere about this subject but can't find it and (obviously) don't remember where I read it. Any help??
