With regards to migrating SAP to something other than Informix, check your licensing costs if you are concerned about your bottom line. In the migration I was involved with in 2007, DB2 licensing through SAP (not IBM) was more favorable than Oracle through SAP. I have forgotten where SqlServer ranked. You will need to involve a certified SAP migration partner, check several out. In the migration I was involved with, the choice was DB2, and the migration partner was IBM Lab Services. The migration involved migrating both SAP/Informix and SAP/Oracle to SAP/DB2. Everything went fine and within schedule. The IBM and SAP partnership is a strong one. Good luck. Norma Jean
