uninstalling informix 9.4 dbms
Trying to uninstall informix 9.4 database and isa on aix server as root => "rpm -qi ids" gives message "package ids is not installed" => "java -jar uninstall_ids/uninstall.jar" doesn't work Any suggestions?
Usually for most Informix products uninstallation is equal to remove. So rm -rf $INFORMIXDIR and rm -rf "isa_install_dir" would be enough. That's because Informix is not installed as an OS package anywhere. In 9.40 there wasn't even an uninstall script, you just had to delete the $INFORMIXDIR directory tree and everything in it (careful if you had your own files or dbspaces that were inherited by later releases placed under that 9.40 tree.
