Dear All,
Thanks for the responses I have received on this.
It appears that if you have the IP address with a host name in the
host file or DNS then Informix resolves it and will display the
hostname. For some reason if Informix does not find the hostname
instead of showing the IP address it displays a - in the hostname
field.
We have over 1,000 client workstations that connect and will not
configure host names for all of them.
Looks like we cant do this at the moment.
