Well actually, Informix paid $425 million for Illustra. We (Morgan Stanley) were the advisors on the deal. Illustra is not Postgres but some of the original concepts of Postgres were key to Illustra's architecture. According to Stonebraker, he learned a lot from his Postgres work, but built a much better product the second time around with Illustra. ====================================== Chuck Phillips, CFA, Esq.
