4GL Programming Efficiency

We are often requested to advise on 4GL programming standards and efficiency. I am now trying to assemble a definitive list of things to do or not do when writing in INFORMIX-4GL. The results will be published in comp.databases.informix in due course, with credit given to the people who submit information. Could you please send me anything you would like to see included in such a document.
