We're on Xenix. Is it >possible to upgrade to modern informix on modern Unix? And to be able It is quite possible to do so, though as someone else pointed out, you may want to think about what you want from the upgrade before you go with it. I think the main upgrade advantage would be faster hardware, if you need it. We had a fairly large client base of Informix 3.3 users who have, over time, gradually been upgrading to Informix Online 5.x. One question you may find important, depending on the platform, is what the application software you're using is written in. If it's using the ALL (applications language library) package, Informix 5.x is the end of the line - Informix 6 and 7 don't support ALL anymore. -- William Harris (Standard disclaimers) CARS Information Systems http://www.carsinfo.com/~william/ 4000 Executive Park Drive Cincinnati, OH (USA) 45241
