We are using >nformix version 7.10.UC1 for Intel UnixWare 2.01 on single processor >and SMP machines Stuart Re your scaling problem I have not experienced it but when doing the upgrade course with Raj Murali of Informix he advised us that affinitising to 2 processors was not a good thing to do because the extra overhead in having to manage the mutex locking used up a lot of the gain from the extra processor.
