Yes, I can verify that this is true. There's no problem in using ontape
to dump to the 2nd (or whatever) archive on a tape using /dev/rmt/0n.
It's no use to man or beast 'though (well, certainly not beast), as you
can't restore from the archive for the reasons David Williams gave.
