It might be permissions on the table you are trying ti update... Although the fact that you can do the update with other client is extrange. Try to issue the update inside dbaccess with the user which have had problems if there is no errors i the update then permmission are ok and certainly there is something weird with you winsql. BTW: I've used winsql since version 3 and I never had any of the problems you mention.
