Hi, I have a banking application porting from non mid-ware to Tuxedo based. In this regard, we changed the communication protocol and some of the public function in order to adapt to Tuxedo based programming. We would like to test the application porting through transactions as well as the data stored in IDS 9.4. Does anyone has knowledge regarding comparing the data between two IDS 9.4 servers? Basically, we have two approaches to compare data 1. comparison on entire database or incremental database is not feasible due to the auto-incremental fields or the transaction time logged in transaction records. 2. unload the key fields of key tables - low performance due to the huge number of records in database 3. record SQL statement executed by application and compare the SQL statements. Regarding comparing SQL statements, we've tried the following approaches 1. SQLTRACE is not yet the feature of IDS 9.4. 2. Informix auditing - it does not provide the detailed SQL Statements executed. Or maybe someone can help on generating the SQL in auditing log? 3. It looks like "syssqlstat" table in "sysmaster" database records some of the SQL statements, but not all. Can someone help to enable recording all SQL Statements? Any other suggestions/comments? Appreciate your time for reading and looking forward to solutions.
AGS Server Studio v7.0 can do that for you. If the version of Server Studio you have from your IDS installation is earlier than 7.0 (the latest release) you can download it from the AGS web site (www.serverstudio.com). You get a 30-day full feature trial when you download Server Studio after which only the core functionality is available (see: http://www.serverstudio.com/shop/#) which does not include the data comparison function. If you need or want this feature, and the other advanced features, for more than 30 days you will have to purchase one of the advanced level licenses. Art Art S. As Art said, AGS Server Studio v7.0 trial version doesn't support the comparison function. Is there any other solutions(or opensource tools) to resolve this issue?
