In reference to this problem, the toolkit supplies a set of 4gl functions that can be used in place of the input array statement. These source functions do everything the input array statement does. In addition, they do things the input array statement can't. The functions give you complete control over the input array process. You can do anything you like, before or after any operation. You can do any operation in any order. You can highlight all, none or part of a row. In fact, you can display just some columns of a program array to a screen array in any order you want. The functions give you complete control over the last key stroke. I don't have any connection with the company that sells the stuff; however, the product has been accepted into the Informix InSynch program which sends out a catalog that points users to third party software.
