SE under Win NT - Newera 3.0

Has anyone managed to get SE running under Win NT 4.0 ? It all seems so easy in the manual, but ... ? *#%!@ I have resorted to using Online, but it is VERY hungry if REPOSITORY is updated (ie.REPOSITORY=0). I was astounded at the number of locks used for a simple compile. But now I must set up a portable computer (NT 4.0) as a development machine to be used outside of our normal network.
