In my last message I said: }Platform: Everex 486 running Interactive 3.2 and Informix Online 4.00.UE1. } }Recently, we took a power hit that caused some damage to our file system. }Specifically, the device file Informix writes to was lost. } }Should I reinstall Online or can I just re-create the device file? } }Also, our Stallion boards (3.0)do not seem to be working--no log-in prompts fo r }remote terminals. I removed the software and re-installed with no luck. } }I also had to re-make the /dev/null device file. } }Gee, should I just re-format the SCSI drive and start over? I am not very }familiar with this system, so I just don't know how to best approach solving }these problems. } }We use Back-Ups 600 for our UPS--no auto-shutdown installed. } }Any advice/help would be appreciated. } }Thanks! I believe my terminology was wrong. On initial boot-up, tbinit tries to initialise /dev/isqldev and reports an error=2--shared memory not initialized.
