The P&T manual says: o Size Of Light Scan Buffers - RA_PAGES/(MAXAIOSIZE/PAGESIZE) o Number of Light Scan Buffers - (RA_PAGES+RA_THRESHOLD)/ (MAXAIOSIZE/PAGESIZE) Where MAXAIOSIZE on most 7.2 ports is 60KB and PAGESIZE in (2, 4)KB. Doing the math... (MAXAIOSIZE/PAGESIZE) = 30 (or 15) Let's assume 30 for now... To compute the size of the light scan buffers where RA_PAGES = 10, you'd get: 10/30 = 1/3 = .3 ??? Seems the manual is not very clear on this subject. -- Pablo Sanchez | wk: 415.933.3812| pg: 800.930.5635 -or- pablo_p@pager.sgi.com --------------+-----------------+-------------------------------------------- pablo@sgi.com ... when mailing me, place "not spam" in the Subject
