Database Recovery?

In reading about Online Dynamic Server, it states that the database will rollforward to the last checkpoint when the server is brought to online from offline if the server crashes. If I do a restore from the day before will it read the logs and bring it up to the last checkpoint also? Thanks, Rick Stephenson rick@byu.edu
