This might well be a bug, I don''t know. One little trick to figure out
how bit the chunk REALLY is, i.e. how big does
UNIX think your rawdevice is, is to run a dd from the devive to /dev/null
and then looking at the number of copied blocks that dd reports. It's
usually easier (and faster) to run it with a bigger than the defaul
blocksize, i.e.:
dd if=/dev/rdsk/c0b0t4d0s1 of=/dev/null bs=16384
which will tell you how many 16K block the device has. If this puppy reports
600M, UnixWare is mixed up, if it reports 1G, ODS is....
