Translating with DrWatson… this can take a few seconds the first time.
This is a genuine, complex translation. DrWatson protects commands, error codes, and log output while naturally translating the surrounding text. It’s translated once and saved.
Hello
all. Sorry if I am boring anybody but my original question was concerning the
following.
I am looking into a few technical aspects of an online app that uses Informix
as the backend database using the Informix Dynamic Server Version 7.31.UC4X4.
I don't really have access to the source code or the latest documentation.
I am trying to figure out what tables in the database are affected when a
certain transaction or an action generated fro the GUI interface occurs.
A few people have responded with great suggestions and thanks to all of them.
It appears that one way of knowing know from the actual SQL logged activity. I
believe Informix, which CM/ECF runs off of, has a built in utility/tool called
Informix System(Server)Administrator that allows you tol easiy isolate current
SQL activity, etc, and I think there is a product called I-spy which could be
very helpful. Can anyone please elaborate on this if they have had any
experience with dealing with those utilities or have had similar tasks to
perform and research.
If anyone has a few minutes and can help, I would really appreciate it and any
feedback is welcome.
Thanks
Hi bro
Have you tried with "onlog" utility? it can retrieve info from informix logs
(from its current dbspace as well as backed-up)
Just enter "onlog --", take a look at the switches and go play around.
For example:
onlog -u doe_john
onlog -n 54564 -l
or whatever you might need
BTW, take a look at "onstat -g sql XXX" and "onstat -g ses XXX" , where XXX is
the session ID. this could be useful
Hope it helps
Greetz.
