Look out for functions not returning (pushing onto the stack) the same number of variables that the calling function is expecting (popping off the stack). We found that you DO NOT get a run-time (or compile) error like you should under 5.0 (4GL 4.13 and earlier), but you will get the proper errors on 7.1. Bottom line: make sure you thoroughly unit test your stuff before you send it out the door. We haven't encountered any other problems porting to 7.1 except in cases where logging is turned off.
