Re: speed up onspaces utility

Art and Neil,
It took about 20 minutes to initialize a 10 Gig dbspace.
I just talked to SysAdmin. He thinks that the stripped raw disks may
be the reason.
Since it only takes 5 minutes to initialize the same size of disk with
the UNstripped disks.
It also sounds that if we use the stripped ones, the dbimport also VERY
slow.
So he is considering to remake the disks(DDN.....), i.e., not stripe them.
Do we have similar experience?

Has he initialised the aio module? It isn't enabled by default in AIX 5.
Can you send the output from onstat -g iov please?
