Backup and Restore

Hello All- I am new in the Informix world. I've inherited an Informix database system with little documentation. One of the first things I'd like to do is know the procedures to backup and restore. The Informix version is 7.3. Is there something out there in print or someone who can point me to it? Any help would be greatly appreciated. -Lou-

Informix provides a manual 'Backup & Restore Guide' that discusses use of the OnBar function to perform backups. That manual is a part of the Informix 'Answers OnLine' CD, which is free (to the best of my knowledge). Or, you can go to their website www.informix.com and from there, access their documentation in either Adobe or HTML format.
