I'm using Informix JDBC and Informix 7.x DBs. All interaction w/the DB is done by calling stored procedures in the DB. I have insured that EACH resultset is closed via the .close(). I have NOT issued statement closes. From what I have read w/in the Informix JDBC documentation, ResultSet.close(); is all that is required to complete a transaction. When looking at the DB, however, it would appear that the last stored procedure executed is still running. Is there a reason for this? Must I also issue the Statement.close()? Is this normal? Thanx in advance.
