Re: Informix for Linux Initiative
Posted in 1997
Hi Kent, Tim and I are a couple of the insane individuals who are trying to strongarm informix into doing a port. (Lower case I is intentional. IFMX is too close to 4 to deserve an upper case I :-) Yet I digress. Please feel free to contact me at Mikey (at) Segel (dot) Com and I'll be glad to bring you up to speed. Tim did mention that there is this *new* survey out on http://www.datad.com/linux_survey.html that is pretty generic albiet it seems to have a RDBMS bent. So I strongly suggest that anyone who is interested in Linux should take the time to fill out Yet another survey. (Hey, it can't hurt right?) I am personally looking forward to '98 and I think we will prevail. Rumors that I am going on a scouting mission to stalk Mike Saranga trying to get blackmail photos are greatly exagerated. :-) Sorry to be a bit tongue n cheek, but after a pot of Kenya AA, I feel *great*. (And giving dad that 5 mg of Prednisone ?sp? takes a lot off my mind too!) -Cheers everyone! Happy New Year! Uncle Mikey! ===================================== Kent, McNall wrote: > Our company is a long-time Informix developer.
