ONINIT -i initialises disk and shared memory, while oninit initialises
shared memory only. When you run oninit -i Informix recreatres logical
and physical logs, as specified in ONCONFIG file. If you run this
command, all your previous data will be lost. Also, this command
creates such structures as SYSUTILS and SYSMASTER databases. The oninit
command simply creates shared memory without any disk modifications.
ONINIT command is used to bring your system from off-line to online
mode.
