multithread in INFORMIX, how?

Hi, We are using Informix V.7 aand dual cpu HP machine. We have 700 stored procedures currently stay on database server, and we still using single thread. We are thinking using multithread to increase performance, can anyone there can show us how to do it? Is this so called PDQ? Thanks in advance. Jack
