copy varchar to CLOB

Hi, I got a table with varchar as one of the column. Due to the short length, I am trying to change the varchar column to CLOB. I like to copy the data from the existing table to the new table. How can I copy the varchar over to be CLOB? Any help will be appreciated. Thanks. Dominic
