Well, they get to support even more products, Ardent was still providing support for piopen and unidata. Though to be honest, I am hoping that Universe's support will improve. I feel like I have gotten alot better response with my Informix support calls. Makes me feel like my Informix and Universe databases might be able to communicate more easily in the future too.
