The application server(s) run Informix 4GL, which have native Informix connections to the database server (running IDS7.31) We do not allow the users logins directly onto the database server, but only via the application servers (splitting of load between apps and database) I would like to keep it this way, instead of opening up logins for the Java users so that they can get a direct connection from the Java server to the IDS server.
