dbimport time - does page size matter

Hello , IDS 11.10.FC2W1 on solaris 10 ,4 cpu machine ,16GB ram For a entire table to be imported on a dbspace with 2k page size took 2 hrs and to create 6 indexes on not more than 12 columns (of the same table) on dbspace with 8k page size takes 12 hrs . Please let me know what all can be the possible reasons. is it correct that the indexes should be created on dbspace with same or less page size as compared to the dbspace on which the table was created. the index creation was started only after the table import was completed. hi vikas, I could not correlate the time with different page size but you can certainly reduce the index time creation by using PDQ. vartika.

Thank you Mr Kagel ! my aplogies for the typo 200 , yes you were correct we had set the PDQPRIORITY to 100 and it worked well. also thanks to vartika for her response. Regards, vikas
