Yes, the bad o is a beast. Just think of it as job security. 2. Would life be any better with DB2??? 3. You can take an O class just about anywhere. I can't find a Non-IBM vendor teaching DB2. 4. You can find an O guy/gal looking for a job anytime. Sheesh, our tech. rep. is still learning DB2 UDB!! 5. There's a mountain of books on O, about 5 on DB2 UDB. 6.
