ODBC Interface / Gateway for Informix 5?

Hi, How do I connect to an Informix 5 system using ODBC? I am looking at using JDBC (or something similar) to connect to our Informix server so that I can make db calls directly to the server and display the results in an html page. At the moment I am using remote shell commands embedded in perl cgi scripts to faciliate obtaining data. Would be grateful for any help received.
