This is obviously a valid posting, but I just know that this thread is going to deteriorate into the usual claims and counter-claims=20 between Oracle personnel and others, and eventually it will become a general slanging match. I for one am fed up to the back teeth with reading the sort of crap that a posting like this generates. After yesterday's tongue-in-cheek suggestions of separate newsgroups for Billy and his adversary from the "O" company, can I make a serious suggestion - why not set up a separate comp.databases.performance newsgroup. That way, the people that are interested in this sort of=20 thing can read it to their heart's content, and leave the rest of us=20 in peace.
