We're using RAID 1+0 SAN too, informix pagesize 2K and the current stripe size is a whopping 128 KB. How much would decreasing it to 16 or 32 KB theoretically help? Is it worth a try to change it? Thanks, Alex

Personally, yes IB this will increase throughput under load and release some disk overhead from write operations improving read performance, HOWEVER, I always recommend that you test it out yourself! Every hardware/software/array configuration is different. Art S. Kagel
