Hi all, I have this problem : Error -951 while trying to connect to the Informix 7.31TD2 server (on = win2000) from an windows XP (client APP) via ODBC. The ODBC test connection works ok, but the application throws this error = : user not known on the database server. When I use my application from win2000 (client app), everything woks = just perfect. Same with WINNT 4. On both winXP(informix client) and Win2000pro(informix server) I've = disabled most of the security policies. I've tried a lot of informix drivers 3.11,3.30,3.32. All the time with = the same error. Maybe you have some hints?? Ben

Hi all, Thanks for all your answers. I will complete my question with additional information. The server is a Win2000 profesional with Informix 7.31TD2 .=20 I am loggin in with a user recognized by the server. Everything seems to be in order with all the settings in setnet and = ol_config. Actually the server is running just fine. When I try to = connect from a Win2000 client, or NT4 client is ok. It is working, but = not from XP profesional SP1. I tried out with different informix clients (3.11, 3.30, 3.32 ....), but = no success.=20 Maybe you have additional tips?? :) P.S. We are not using a domain server. (This may be a problem?) Thanks in advance. >From: "Beniuga Cri...." <ben@mindcti.com> >To: ids@iiug.org >Subject: Connection problem [2135] Date: Wed, 5 Nov 2003 07:05:56 -0500 = >(EST) > >Hi all, > >I have this problem : > >Error -951 while trying to connect to the Informix 7.31TD2 server (on = =3D >win2000) from an windows XP (client APP) via ODBC. >The ODBC test connection works ok, but the application throws this = error =3D >: user not known on the database server. >When I use my application from win2000 (client app), everything woks = =3D >just perfect.
