How do you want to connect. We connect many of our own web pages to a version 4.0 engine. Take a simple WWW query form as an example. You capture user query parameters via standard html select statements. Hidden fields on the page contain the details of the 4gl program to run to execute the query. The entire HTML page including it's selected parameters and hidden fields are processed by our Gen4 WWW to Informix interface program. This determines the correct 4gl program to run and runs it. The 4GL program then builds the required HTMLstatements for the web page that is the response to the user query. Check out "http://www.ipl.co.uk/gen4_man.html" for the user documentation for the Gen4 interface program. Or check out any of the pages we host at ipl.co.uk many of them demonstrate how we return informix db data to the www pages. We can license you a copy of the Gen4 program or you can use it for free if we host your WWW pages on our server. I use the Visionware ODBC driver with v4 SE with no problems. Dominic Pratt
