RE: Informix database on Unix - access via ODBC

I must preface with the knowledge that we are running 7.3 on NT, however, I haven't been able to find out from informix how the platform (NT vs. Unix) affects the odbc drivers. ANYWAY: The latest version of the Informix CLI driver is 2.80.06999 which you can get from informix Client SDK 2.02. You can download the Client SDK 2.02 from intraware.com - I don't know what the requirements are (such as support etc...) to download. We have had some trouble with this 2.80.06999 informix driver. The Intersolv Informix drivers have more recent versions 3.01.0007 and a 3.10.0000. We have had better luck with the intersolve drivers. The 3.01.0007 is also bundled with the Client SDK 2.02 I believe. The latest version (3.10) will need to be purchased from an intersolve distributor (software spectrum for example). You used to be able to get a list of distributors from intersolv's website, but now that they are under the umbrella of Micro Focus, I haven't checked the new web site out (www.microfocus.com) Good Luck - We've been having a horrible time with ODBC drivers!
