Ontape problem

I am running IDS 7.31 and SCO 5.05. A vendor setup a new server and transferred my database. Database was transferred by copying /usr/informix and then updated using ontape -r. When I attempt to do an ontape -s -L 0 the backup gets 50% complete and then returns an Archive failed message code -1 errno 6. I believe errno 6 indicates no such device or address.
