*Don't* do this. Never copy the database files themselves from one
platform to another; they can have architectural differences (e.g.
different index node sizes). The proper method is to UNLOAD from the
source machine and LOAD on the target. dbexport/dbimport can be used
to automate the process.
If you *had* to copy, you should follow it with a bcheck of all table
files. Index nodes can be resized if necessary using the -s option.
Even so, I wouldn't advise this method, and it's not supported.

Always recompile if you have the choice. Sometimes, you outright have
to recompile (e.g. moving pcode to RDS 4.1 which has report functions).
If you are moving pcode to another platform with the same version of
RDS, recompiling isn't necessary.
