I would like to use the ORDERED optimizer directive in an esql/c program. Unfortunately it appears that the esqlc pre-processor strips out optimizer directives as they are entered as C style comments. I raised this with Informix support who suggested that I use the -keepccomment option to esql i.e. esql -keepccomment file.ec -o file.exe This is not recognised be my version of esql. Informix support have so far been unable to locate a version that does accept this option. Has anyone out there had successfully used optimizer directives in an esql/c program ? Does anyone use the -keepccomment option ? Thanks, John Hathaway. john.hathaway@syntegra.bt.co.uk
